Since the beginning of 2024, the growth rates of milk and raw material production at Ukrainian agricultural enterprises have been among the best in Europe. However, in households, there is a tendency to reduce milk yields, agroportal.ua reported.
It is noted that, according to preliminary data of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy, in October 2024, farms of all categories produced 596.8 thousand tons of raw milk, which is 3% less than in September this year and 3% less than in October 2023.
In January-October of this year, the milk yield amounted to 6 million 148.9 thousand tons, which is 3% less than last year. During the analyzed period, the share of enterprises in the production of raw milk reached 41%, and the share of individual farms - 59%.
AMP analyst Giorgi Kukhaleishvili notes that the growth rate of raw milk production at Ukrainian agricultural enterprises since the beginning of 2024 is one of the best in Europe. In January-October, domestic MTFs increased milk yields by 5%, while EU producers increased by 0.5%, and the US reduced raw milk production by 0.2% over 10 months of this year.
