Poultry farming is one of the key sectors of the economy that provides the population with essential products such as eggs and meat. In order to achieve high poultry productivity, an important factor is to provide high-quality nutrition. This is where modern feeding equipment comes in, which is indispensable in production.
As of January 1, 2024, 227 agricultural enterprises in Ukraine kept 105 million poultry. According to Agravery.com, citing data from the State Statistics Service of Ukraine, 72 domestic agricultural enterprises (31.7% of the total number engaged in poultry farming) kept 5000-49 999 heads of poultry. The total number of poultry reached 1.8 million heads; 59 enterprises (26%) kept 100,000-499,999 heads.
This segment accounted for 14.6 million heads; 41 agricultural enterprises (18.1%) kept up to 5,000 heads of poultry. This totaled 44.4 thousand heads; 30 farms (13.2%) kept more than 500,000 heads of poultry. This segment accumulated the largest number of livestock - 86.7 million heads, or 82.6% of the total; 25 companies (11%) kept 50,000-99,999 heads of poultry. This category of enterprises accounted for 1.8 million heads.
The data excludes the territories temporarily occupied by the Russian Federation and part of the territories where military operations are (were) conducted. The information is based on the reports actually submitted by the companies (reporting rate - 89%). The data may be updated. As of July 1 of this year, the total poultry population in Ukraine amounted to 210.4 million heads.
