The DOL 27 sensor is a 30 mm capacitive proximity sensor designed to detect loose and solid materials. The DOL 27 and iDOL 27 sensors are available in SCR, PNP and NPN output versions. The sensors are suitable for use with contactors, relays, PLCs, etc. in the agricultural and industrial sectors, in particular in enterprises for grain level measurement and effective feed level control in poultry houses, pig houses, and cowsheds. SCR output versions are available in 2-wire versions, as well as PNP and NPN in 4-wire versions. The capacitive sensor DOL 27 CA-P-M30-NF-CA-NPN-2-2T is a specialized model in a reinforced M30 housing, designed for automation systems operating on the NPN (negative switching) standard. This device is intended for use in low-voltage DC networks (10-30V DC) and is the ideal solution for connecting to specific industrial controllers (PLCs).
Unlike residential versions, this model combines the industrial strength of a 30mm housing with fine-tuning capabilities. Thanks to two trimmers (2T), you can adapt the sensor operation to any conditions, while the NO + NC output allows selecting the desired operation logic during installation.
Advantages of the NPN Model in M30 Housing
- NPN Logic Compatibility. Many imported control units (especially Asian-made) require an "NPN" signal. This sensor is created specifically for them.
- M30 Power. The large sensor diameter ensures more stable feed detection compared to M18, especially through hopper walls or in dusty conditions.
- Full Control (2T). The presence of Delay adjustment prevents false triggers from vibration, and Sensitivity adjustment allows working with different materials.
- Connection Flexibility (NO+NC). The 4-core cable allows implementing both "Start" (make) and "Stop" (break) functions using a single sensor.

Installation of DOL 27 NPN Sensor
- Electrical (Important!): NPN sensors are connected differently than PNP. The load is connected between the "positive" of the power supply and the sensor output (black or white wire).
- Installation: Secure the sensor in a 30.5 mm hole with nuts.
- Adjustment: Open the trimmer cover. Adjust "Sens" and "Time" for correct operation.

У нас система роздачі кормів з дуже широкими шнеками. Попередній маленький датчик "губився" в такій великій трубі і спрацьовував некоректно. Цей DOL 27 має великий радіус дії. Завдяки тому, що він NF (виступаючий), він заглиблюється в потік корму і контролює реальний рівень по центру труби, а не налипання на стінках.

Взяли саме цю модель через надійність кріплення кабелю. У менших датчиках кабель тонший, і його часто перегризають або перетирають. Тут, у 30-му корпусі, кабель заходить потужний, ізоляція товста. Для умов свинарника, де все ламається і гниє, це найнадійніший варіант. Працює на розмикання мінуса, як і треба було для нашого реле.

Ми підключали цей датчик до плати Arduino для власної системи моніторингу бункерів. Для мікроконтролерів найбезпечніше використовувати саме NPN вихід (відкритий колектор). Ця модель підійшла ідеально, сигнал чіткий, жодних наводок. Корпус міцний, випадково лопатою не розіб'єш.

Шукав датчик із максимальною площею чутливості для лушпиння. Дрібні сенсори це легке сміття просто не помічають. У цього DOL 27 робоча зона величезна, він реагує на масу чітко. Таймер налаштували на середнє положення, щоб шнек не вмикався від кожної пролітаючої жмені, а чекав повного спустошення.

У нас на елеваторі стоять старі радянські труби з товстими стінками, і там пропалені великі отвори. Маленькі датчики (М18) там просто не тримаються. Взяли цей потужний М30, затиснули широкими гайками — стоїть мертво. Головка NF виступає всередину труби і чудово бачить зерно, навіть коли стінки вкриті пилом.
