Ukraine has launched a large-scale project to upgrade its agricultural infrastructure - the construction of 409 grain silos, 24 bioclusters and three dry ports. The total capacity of the silos will exceed 5 million tons.
The project will be implemented with the participation of AgHoldCo, Inc and UAF Partners, which have already signed a memorandum of cooperation in the Lviv region, Landlord reports.
The first 30,000-ton silo and dry port will be built in the Lviv region. The project plans to create a holistic ecosystem where grain will not only be stored, but also processed into biofuels, feed and other products.
A special emphasis will be placed on supporting small farmers and communities, who will be provided with silos on a long-term lease.
The first phase of implementation will be carried out in Right-Bank Ukraine, where 154 grain silos will be built. The project will help reduce grain losses, increase export potential and create new jobs. It is also planned to develop the processing industry and implement innovative logistics solutions. Particular attention will be paid to dry ports, which will speed up the transportation of grain to ports and borders.
Experts predict a significant revival of agrologistics and strengthening of Ukraine's positions in international markets.
