The Hotraco OPN-CO2-E2 is an industrial-standard intelligent sensor designed for the continuous monitoring of carbon dioxide concentrations in livestock facilities. The sensor provides CO2 measurement in the range of 0 to 5000 ppm and transmits data via a universal 4–20 mA analog output. Utilizing this device is critical for ventilation systems, as it allows maintaining animal health, optimizing air exchange, and significantly reducing energy costs for heating through precise climate control.
The model is supplied as a comprehensive kit for quick professional installation. The set includes: the main measurement module, a sealed plug for connection, a steel mounting plate for secure fixation, and a protection cap. The protection cap reliably shields the sensitive optical camera of the sensor from water and disinfectant solutions during high-pressure house cleaning, which significantly extends the device's service life and maintains its measurement accuracy.
Mounting
Installation of the OPN-CO2-E2 sensor is performed using the mounting plate, which ensures rigid attachment to a wall or column. It is recommended to install the device at the breathing level of the animals, avoiding direct exposure to air currents from inlets. The plug connection allows for easy removal of the device for technical maintenance.
