The food egg market is oversupplied due to an excessive amount of product. Thus, in July and August, its production increased to about 100 million units per month. Yevhen Hailov, head of sales at Incuba LLC, told this in an interview with Nashe Poultry Farming magazine, Agroportal.ua reported.
“The overproduction of food eggs was due to an unplanned increase in the number of laying hens by poultry farms after the previous two years there was a shortage of food eggs on the market,” he said.
According to Yevhen Khailov, similar fluctuations in the market used to occur from time to time, but poultry farms managed to quickly regulate the amount of production: for example, to reduce the number of laying hens in case of overproduction.
“However, it is very difficult to do this now,” he said. “It is problematic for egg production enterprises to sell live poultry or slaughter it, as the market is saturated with such meat. In addition, long periods of power outages are a problem for farms, making it difficult to slaughter poultry and store meat." This is where uninterruptible power supplies come in handy, and it's time to stock up before winter.
